With his sophomore album pop artist Eric Hutchinson puts out another soulful pop album equally as impressive as his debut album. Eric Hutchinson broke through with his hit single “Rock & Roll” from his debut album “Sounds Like This”. John Mayer and Jason Mraz may be the top artists in this genre of music, but with this album Eric Hutchinson earns a spot right next to them with songs such as “Best Days”, “Breakdown More” and “The People I Know”. If you are a Jason Mraz or John Mayer fan then this is definitely an album to check out. With 11 songs this album seems to be relatively short, which ends up being a somewhat good thing because it stops the album from dragging on. With “Moving Up Living Down” Eric Hutchinson’s label debut has catchy hooks which demonstrates his strong vocal ability that makes this an enjoyable album without straying from the sounds from his independent album, “Sounds Like This”. “Moving Up Living Down” isn’t a genre breaking album and runs short at only thirty nine and a half minutes, but it displays the smooth vocals of Eric Hutchinson and is a good album earning 3 1/2 stars.
