Cheryl: A Million Lights Album Review

To purchase the third album from British pop singer Cheryl Cole click on the image above.

A Million Lights is the third album from pop artist Cheryl Cole and is mainly filld with a mixture of dance-pop tracks and slow ballads. For her third album Cheryl Cole has recieved the assistance of producers Calvin Harris and Alex Da Kid as well as from artists Will.i.am and Taio Cruz. Although the album does feature good production the majority of the tracks fall short on an album which is just below average.

On an album which features 15 songs only 7 songs are average or better which is not a good ratio for an album. Of those seven songs Cheryl does deliver some tracks which are very good such as Under The Sun which is a great album opener featuring an upbeat sing along chanting chorus, Call My Name which is a very good Calvin Harris produced dance-pop song and Sexy Den A Mutha which is another dance-pop track which features good synths to go along with a catchy chorus. Craziest Things has potential but falls short in trying to be an electro song while A Million Lights, All Is Fair and Mechanics Of The Heart are three tracks which are all pretty good songs and are slower paced pop songs. Other than those tracks though the rest of the album just falls off from an artist whose vocals aren’t the greatest. The other songs on the album are flat and miss on album which was mostly hit or miss for me.

With her third album Cheryl comes nowhere close to the quality of music which pop stars Katy Perry, Rihanna and others put out and delivers an album which misses with tracks more often than it connects. A Million Lights from Cheryl gets 2 stars.

Top 5 Tracks: Under The Sun, Call My Name, Sexy Den A Mutha, All Is Fair, Mechanics Of The Heart

Cheryl Cole: Craziest Things Ft. Will.i.am

Craziest Things is a new song from Cheryl Cole featuring Will.i.am off of her upcoming album, A Million Lights and has the pop singer singing over a dubstep like house beat on a song which isn’t impressive for the second single from Cheryl Cole and pales in comparison to her first single.

Music Videos: 5/3/2012

Here’s some of the music video’s which have been released within the last few days as well as a couple videos you should check out.

The video for Where Have You Been by Rihanna. This song is the second Calvin Harris produced song to be found on Rihanna’s most recent album Talk That Talk. As usual for Rihanna she delivers another great music video for a stand out track from her album.

Here is the video for Justin Bieber’s Boyfriend. I am not a fan of Justin Bieber, but I have to admit that this a catchy song although he says the word swag way too much in this song. Also after seeing his episode of Punk’d which he seemed pretty cool in I’m starting to not dislike him as much as I previously did. It looks like he is trying to become the new Justin Timberlake which is not a bad thing. The video is directed by Director X who has made music videos for Drake (HYFR) and The Wanted (Chasing The Sun and Glad You Came) which are some of the top music videos of the year.

Cheryl Cole: Call My Name

Here’s the first single from Cheryl Cole’s upcoming third album titled A Million Lights. I could easily see this song catching on and becoming a hit on the radio with some help from the fact that is produced by Calvin Harris and that the lyrics are catchy. In my opinion this song is a want to be We Found Love, but it should still become a radio hit. I’m interested to see what is to come from Cole’s upcoming album with rumored collaborations with Usher, Will.i.am, Far East Movement, Rihanna and Taio Cruz.
