Usher: Lemme See Ft. Rick Ross

Just five days after dropping his second single Scream, Usher lets loose his third single from his upcoming 7th studio LP, Looking For Myself. The song does not have the hit quality of his first single, Climax, but it keeps me intrigued for what is to come from his album when it is released on June 12th. Check it out below.

Artist Profile: Talay Riley

Genre: R&B

Talay Riley is a British R&B singer and songwriter. Talay has already written hits for artists Chip and Tinie Tempah and is currently writing for Rihanna, Ellie Goulding, One Direction, Justin Bieber and Christina Aguilera’s upcoming releases.

Talay has only released one mixtape himself, and is currently in the midst of working on his first album. With his first mixtape Talay has shown his ability to make catchy songs. Once he releases his first album I expect Talay to gain popularity worldwide (just as Taio Cruz did) and have his own hit songs as he has written in the past for others.

Top 5 Songs: Good As Gold, Make You Mine, Homicide, Heartbreaker, Fairytale

Check out his releases below along with a download link for all of his releases after the cut. Click the more button in order to see more from Talay.

Blown Away is the fourth studio album from country pop singer Carrie Underwood. With her fourth album the progress which she has made as an artist and songwriter since her early albums and American Idol days is evident more than ever.  The album opens with three extremely pop country songs one of which is the opening track Good Girl which is already a top ten single for the five time Grammy award winner. While the first three songs carry a somewhat darker tone, the songs become more lighthearted as the album goes on.

Blown Away showcases Carrie’s dynamic range and songwriting abilities as well as her ability to create an album which is a good mixture of both pop and country. As usual for Underwood most of the pop songs found on the album carry a darker tone while her country songs carry a lighthearted tone. Songs One Way Ticket, Blown Away and Good Girl are the strongest songs on the album and showcase Carrie’s vocal ability.

The album starts off extremely strong, but drops down slightly in quality for the second half of the album with the exception being Leave Love Alone. While I enjoy the pop influenced songs from this album most, even though I am not a big country music fan I still enjoyed the country songs found on the album. If you are a Carrie Underwood fan or even somewhat like country music then this album is a must listen which you should enjoy. With her powerful voice Carrie creates a successful heavily pop influenced country album which gets 4 stars. Check out some of the album below and leave your thoughts on the album.

Key Tracks: Good Girl, Blown Away, Two Black Cadillacs, One Way Ticket, See You Again and Leave Love Alone

Nas: Daughters

Daughters is the third single to be released from the upcoming Nas album titled Life Is Good. So far between Nasty, The Don and Daughters the album is looking good and the three singles which have been released sound like vintage Nas. The single is produced by No I.D. and the album is set to be released on July 17th.

Check out the song below along with a nice Nas and Eric Clapton mashup titled Change The World created by Urban Noize. To download either of the songs click on the mp3.

Going into listening to B.o.B’s sophomore album, Strange Clouds I had extremely high expectations for the album based on what I have heard from B.o.B before and the early releases from the album. With this album B.o.B continues his fusion of the genres of pop, rock and rap. B.o.B caters to the mainstream with a few songs which will be constantly played on the radio, but he also manages to put out songs with a style similar to that which can be found on his mixtapes.

Although this album did not reach the extremely high expectations I had for it going in, it came somewhat close and features a nice mixture of genres throughout the album. The album has an impressive guest list including Morgan Freeman, Taylor Swift, Trey Songz and Lil Wayne along with many others. On Strange Clouds B.o.B attempts to cater to both his fan bases by having a mixture of rap songs and rap-pop songs on the album. High points on the album are So Good, Strange Clouds, So Hard To Breathe, Both Of Us, Castles, Never Let You Go and Where Are You.

With Strange Clouds, B.o.B delivers a much more free flowing album then his debut album and creates a nice mixture of the B.o.B found on his debut album and the B.o.B found on his mixtapes. The album is filled with catchy pop hooks, but B.o.B still manages to keep the album hip hop. This album should compete for album of the year due to the large number of great catchy tracks which can be found on the album. B.o.B’s sophomore album Strange Clouds earns a 4 stars rating.
